Trees grow using carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. It’s calculated that one tree can typically absorb 3.7 tonnes of carbon dioxide during the first 40 years of its life.

Our track record

We planted our first woodland of 20,000 trees in 2011… and our 100,000th tree in 2025. We have created over a hundred acres of woodlands in our own protected nature reserves in North Yorkshire and at our partner sites across the UK. You can be sure we know what we’re doing!

Which location?

You can choose the location for your trees. Pick one of our protected nature reserves.  Perhaps you would like them to be near your home? Choose from North Yorkshire, Norfolk or The Peak District.

If you have no preference, no worries – we’ll choose the location for you.

How it works

We sell our carbon offsetting for individuals in multiples of 5 tonnes of carbon dioxide. After approximately 40 years the trees will have offset the carbon.

Step 1. Decide how many tonnes of carbon dioxide you want to offset, either by estimation or calculation. Choose your preferred location. Then make your online purchase.

Step 2. We’ll do all the work! we will:

• either assign recently planted trees to you, or plant new trees on your behalf. This depends on the time of year and the number of newly planted trees we have available
• send you a certificate showing:
  • the number of tonnes of carbon dioxide you have offset
  • the location of the trees on a map
  • an annotated aerial photograph showing the trees we have planted for you
• plant enough ‘extra’ trees to allow for natural losses
• protect and look after your trees for the foreseeable future, to ensure they reach maturity
• send you a digital badge that you can use to show what you are doing to help the planet
