We took ownership of this wonderful piece of Wensleydale moorland in late 2022.
It is 111 acres in size, and includes some upland pasture, but is mostly moorland with the potential for peat formation. It is criss-crossed by little streams, and includes lots of interesting relief. We are completing our species and habitat surveys, and will then begin to plan how we can bring benefits to biodiversity and nature in this special place.
It is located near the village of Burtersett.
It is crossed by a public footpath, but is otherwise not open to the public.
