Helen Neave

Helen has given hundreds of talks of various kinds, both in her previous academic surgical career, and as co-founder of Make it Wild. She is equally happy delivering talks in person, or remotely if that is preferred. .

Helen has four presentations ready for you to choose from. But please ask if you have specific requirements, as talks can be adapted.

Scalpel to Spade and Beyond – All new for 2026! She will briefly reflect on her remarkable career, from being one of very few female trainee surgeons, to becoming a consultant, and then holding national roles with healthcare regulators. Helen and her husband Chris then realised Nature was in trouble … Helen will explain what they did and how her life changed, and describe some of the results of their work so far.

Encouraging Nature into Your Garden – Helen will guide your group through ten simple actions, that you can take, to help Nature.

Why Nature helps our Health – Helen will explain, in simple terms, some of the science behind the health benefits of being in Nature.

How we “Make it Wild” – A personal story of rewilding of the land. Helen will talk about the many lessons learnt – from large herbivores to wild flowers and tree planting and everything in between.

Christopher Neave

Chris has given many talks as a business leader, and with Make it Wild, in particular to our corporate partners.

In his talk Seeing is Believing he describes his early career, setting up Ultralase, the very first laser eye treatment clinic in the UK, and ultimately another pioneering business, Make it Wild.

Chris will explain the importance of Building Sustainability into your Business in his other talk, which is ideal for businesses. He’ll guide you from the theory to practical steps you can take.

Hannah and Alex Fraser

Regenerative Farming: from Field to Fork: Hannah and Alex’s story offers a model of how farming can be part of the solution to the global environmental crisis, creating a positive impact from field to fork. They will tell their story of creating a farm that not only produces high-quality, nutritious food but also contributes to a healthier planet.

Farming for health: Hannah Fraser works both as a medical doctor and an organic farmer. Passionate about the impact of diet on health and wellbeing, Hannah aims to promote access to nutrient-rich foods that could play a vital role in addressing the rising levels of chronic disease in the UK. She will explain how farming can improve nutrition and human health.

The speaker fee goes directly to support Make it Wild’s conservation work. We offer reductions for charities and community groups.
