Man with a backpack and a cap in a forest

Natural Mindfulness Walks bring you both the benefits of being outside, and of mindfulness.

Natural Mindfulness Walks bring you both the benefits of being outside, and of mindfulness.

Natural Mindfulness Walks bring you both the benefits of being outside, and of mindfulness. They encourage a closer connection to nature, which brings its own special benefits you can read about here.

These walks will be guided Helen from Make it Wild. Helen is both a medical doctor, and a qualified and experienced Natural Mindfulness Guide. The walks will take place at our private nature reserves, Sylvan Nature Reserve, near Kirk Hammerton, and Bank Woods, near Summerbridge, a few miles from Harrogate.

How to book

Private group walks Held at Sylvan and Bank Woods, our private walks are perfect for a group of friends, family or colleagues, whether it's a special occasion or just for fun. We host groups of 4 to 15 people and would be delighted to arrange one for you. Priced per group, starting at £100. To book, email helen@makeitwild.co.uk.

What will I experience?

We will spend one and a half hours walking gently and slowly through our woodland nature reserves.

At intervals, we will pause for guided mindfulness experiences. There will be time for sharing and discussion - but only if you wish.

Each walk is different, depending on the time of year and the location. The walk may include the river bank, woodland streams, wildflower meadows and woodland clearings.

We will talk about the changes in nature that you can see as you walk. Helen will introduce elements of the wisdom of our ancestors about the changing seasons and the energy we can sense from nature if we pause and notice.

What previous participants of our Natural Mindfulness Walks said:

"I completely lost track of time - I thoroughly enjoyed every moment"

"It was so wonderful to 'be' in the woods, rather than concentrating on 'doing' all the time"
