Cute animal shaped wooden spoon for baby

Ideal gift for a future eco-warrior! These unusual wooden spoons are individually hand carved by crafts people in China, using sustainable local birch wood. These are an ideal alternative to plastic spoons, for when baby starts feeding herself! They would also make a lovely unusual gift to treasure for ever, to welcome baby, or on the occasion of baby’s christening or naming ceremony.

We have a variety of animals – stork, hippo and whale. We can’t guarantee which animal will be delivered to you – if you have a strong preference, please let us know via email and we will do our best!

If used for eating, these spoons should be hand washed, and may be coated with any ‘food-safe’ oil to keep them shiny and beautiful. We suggest they should not be used for babies under one year of age, as we are not sure how they would survive sterilization.

If you are not planning on treasuring your unique spoon forever, when you’ve finished with it, you can simply pop it on your compost heap, where it will safely break down.
