We are delighted to welcome Stuart Ward, of Natural Light Photos, a local photographer, to Bank Woods, to lead our very own Introduction to Wildlife Photography Course.

Stuart lives locally and is familiar with our local conditions and habitats, and with the wildlife that we encounter.

This is how he describes the course:

Wildlife is all around us: In our gardens, in our parks, in the countryside. This course is intended to provide participants with an introduction into wildlife photography for those people perhaps fairly new to photography and who would like to find out more.

This is introductory workshop and practical experience will provide participants with an insight into how a digital camera works, how to set your camera up for wildlife photography and the equipment required should you decide to delve deeper into this interesting and rewarding activity.

Participants will enjoy exclusive access to Bank Woods, Summerbridge, Nidderdale. We have ancient woodlands, wildflower meadows, babbling brooks, miles of dry stone walls, and even a photogenic herd of Belted Galloway cattle. You can read more information and directions here.
